Ingredients
- 2 c. milk, scalded
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 scant Tbsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast, in 1 c. warm water
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. or more meal
- flour (enough to make dough, about 6 c.)
Directions

1Add sugar, shortening and salt to milk.

2Add yeast to warm water.

3Add yeast and eggs to milk when cool.

4Add meal and flour. Mix and knead until smooth.

5Oil lightly, cover and put in warm place to double in bulk.

6Knead again.

7Shape into loaves, about 3.

8Let double in bulk again.

9Cook at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes.
