- 1 lb. sausage
- 9 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 8 slices day-old bread
- 3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Brown the sausage and drain excess fat.

2Mix other ingredients and add to the cooled sausage.

3Place in buttered 9 x 11 x 2-inch baking dish.

4Place in refrigerator covered overnight or several hours.

5Next morning, bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes at 350° or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

6If you prefer, you can substitute bacon that has been fried and crumbled or ham in place of the sausage.

7This is very good and a nice dish to fix when you have company overnight.
