- 1 small head cabbage
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- dash of pepper
- 8 oz. Swiss cheese, cut in small pieces
- dry bread crumbs
Directions

1Cook cabbage in boiling salt water until tender (about 8 minutes).

2Saute onion in butter until tender.

3Add flour and mix thoroughly.

4Slowly add milk.

5Add nutmeg, pepper and 3/4 cup cheese.

6Drain cabbage well and combine with cheese mixture. Place in greased casserole.

7Top with remaining cheese and bread crumbs.

8Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
