- 5 large conch
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- fat for frying
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- small piece hot pepper
Directions

1Clean and pound conchs.

2Slice very thin or dice very small. In bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

3Make a well in the center.

4Combine egg with milk and gradually add to center of flour mixture.

5Blend gently to make a smooth batter.

6Mix conch in batter; fry in deep fat.
