- 4 conches (enough to make 1 c. chopped)
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- few drops Tabasco sauce
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp. lime juice
Directions

1Finely chop enough conch to make 1 cup.

2Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.

3Add remaining ingredients, including conch.

4Blend thoroughly.

5Heat oil in deep fryer to 375°.

6Drop batter by tablespoons into hot oil, turning once. Makes about 24 fritters.
