- 1 qt. conchs, prepared and cut into small pieces
- 3 slices fat pork
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 8 white potatoes, quartered
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar (optional)
Directions

1Fry out fat pork in a large pot.

2Add water, cooking oil, salt, pepper and conchs.

3Cook about 1 1/2 hours.

4Add potatoes and cornmeal dumplings; cook 1 hour more.

5If not tender, during last hour of cooking, add 1 tablespoon vinegar.

6Yield: 6 servings.
