- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well.

2Add flour, baking powder and salt.

3Don't overmix.

4Add nuts and chocolate chips.

5Put in a greased 9 x 9-inch pan.

6Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350°.

7Do not overbake.

8Cut in squares while still warm.
