- 1 c. margarine
- 1 box light brown sugar
- 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 (6 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 eggs
- chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions

1Melt together margarine and brown sugar.

2Cool mixture to room temperature.

3Add eggs, one at a time, blending with margarine and sugar.

4Sift dry ingredients together.

5Add dry to wet mixture. Stir in chips and nuts.

6Pour into a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan. Bake at 325° for 20 to 30 minutes.

7Toothpick check for last 5 minutes.
