Ingredients
- 2 envelopes gelatin
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 6 eggs, separated
- 8 Tbsp. whiskey (for flavor)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 pt. whipping cream
- 3 pkg. ladyfingers, split
Directions

1Soak gelatin in cold water.

2Add boiling water and dissolve. Beat egg yolks until thick.

3Add whiskey very slowly.

4Beat in sugar and lemon juice.

5Stir gelatin into egg mixture and chill a short time.

6Whip the cream and fold into chilled egg mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into egg mixture.

7Line sides and bottom of tube pan that will separate or any other 8-inch pan with the split ladyfingers.

8Pour 1/2 of the mixture into pan and put a layer of ladyfingers, then pour rest of mixture on top. Chill in refrigerator overnight.

9Top may be decorated before serving, if desired.
