- 1 c. margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. medium chopped walnuts or pecans
Directions

1Combine margarine, vanilla and salt; blend well.

2Gradually beat in sugar.

3Blend in flour.

4Add chocolate chips and 3/4 cup nuts; mix well.

5Press evenly into ungreased 15 x 10-inch pan. Spread remaining 1/4 cup nuts over top and press lightly.

6Bake at 375° about 25 minutes or until golden brown.

7Cool, then break into irregular pieces.

8Makes about 2 pounds of crisp cookies.
