  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 6 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

    In large saucepan, bring 1 stick margarine, Crisco, 3 tablespoons cocoa and water to a boil.

    Remove from heat.

    Add flour and sugar and mix well.

    Add buttermilk, eggs, salt, vanilla and soda; mix well.

    Pour into jelly roll pan (15 x 10 x 1-inch) and bake 30 minutes at 350°.
