  • 1/4 lb. salt pork
  • 2 1/2 lb. lima beans
  • 3 peeled tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 4 ears corn, cut from cob

Directions

    Slice salt pork almost through in several places; place in large kettle.

    Add 2 quarts boiling water, beans, tomatoes, onion, salt, pepper and sugar.

    Cook for 30 minutes.

    Add corn, cook for 3 minutes longer.

    Yields 6 servings.
