  • 1 1/2 c. corn (fresh, canned or frozen)
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla or less
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar or less
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Warm to scalding first 3 ingredients; separate egg whites and beat stiff.

    Add vanilla and salt and set aside to add last.

    Beat egg yolks and add to warming milk/corn plus sugar and cornstarch, stirring frequently; fold in whipped whites.

    Bake 1 hour at 325° in 2-quart buttered casserole.
