  • 1 can cream-style corn
  • 4 c. milk
  • 1 slice onion
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 1/2 c. heated, strained tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. butter or less

Directions

    Scald corn, milk and onion together.

    Mix flour and water; add to soup.

    Cook and stir 20 minutes.

    Strain.

    Mix hot tomatoes with soda and add to soup.

    Season to taste and add butter, bit by bit.
