  • 1 c. self-rising cornmeal
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar or to taste
  • 1/4 c. liquid shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Directions

    Combine dry ingredients. Combine shortening, milk and eggs. Add to flour and cornmeal. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch glass dish. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 450°.
