- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. corn meal
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 3 Tbsp. applesauce
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. cooking oil
Directions

1Grease a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside.

2In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, corn meal, sugar, baking powder and salt.

3Make a well in center of the dry mixture.

4In a medium mixing bowl, combine applesauce, milk and cooking oil.

5Add liquid to dry mixture; stir until just moistened (batter should be lumpy).

6Bake in a 425° oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean.
