- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 c. corn meal
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. melted shortening
Directions

1Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together.

2Stir cornmeal thoroughly into flour mixture.

3Combine well beaten eggs, milk and shortening; add to dry ingredients.

4Mix well; pour into greased pan and bake at 375° for 40 minutes.
