  • 4 to 5 c. cornbread crumbs
  • 8 slices white bread, cubed and toasted
  • 1 chicken, boiled in salted water with 1 stalk celery and slice of onion
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 4 tsp. ground sage
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Boil chicken until well done in salted water with a stalk of celery and slice of onion.

    Let chicken cook in broth; throw away celery and onion.
