- 6 slices bacon, diced
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 (1 lb.) cans cream-style corn
- 1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 qt. milk
- 2 c. light cream
- popcorn (garnish)
Directions

1Saute the bacon in a saucepan until crisp; drain on paper toweling.

2Add onion to 3 tablespoons of the bacon drippings. Saute until the onion is tender, then add corn, pepper, salt, milk and cream.

3Simmer (do not boil) for 15 minutes.

4Crumble bacon into soup.

5Serve very hot.

6Garnish with popcorn, if you wish. Yields about 2 1/2 quarts.
