  • 1 small green pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 1 (#2) can cream style corn
  • 2 c. milk
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. corn meal
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Chop pepper and onion and saute in bacon drippings; add meat; brown. Stir in corn, milk, corn meal, and seasoning. Pour into greased 2 qt. casserole dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs on top. Dot with butter and bake for 45 minutes at 350°.
