  • 3/4 c. yellow corn meal
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. solid Crisco shortening, melted
  • 12 hot dogs (on sticks)

Directions

    Mix the ingredients except hot dogs together.

    Dip the hot dogs in the batter and deep fry (use solid Crisco) until golden brown on medium heat.
