  • 1/2 c. cornmeal
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 8 hot dogs
  • flour
  • salad oil or shortening (to fry in)

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except hot dogs, flour and oil or shortening.

    Roll hot dogs in flour, then in batter.

    Heat oil or shortening to 375°.

    Fry dogs for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.

    Drain well on paper towels.
