  • 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 1 c. or more all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 10 to 16 hot dogs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • dash of pepper

Directions

    In bowl, mix cornmeal, flour and so on.

    Dip hot dogs in mixture.

    Deep-fry (slowly) at 375° until golden brown, about 2 minutes.

    Drain on paper towel.
