- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. canned corn
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 tsp. melted shortening
Directions

1Beat the egg; add milk, shortening and canned corn.

2Add dry ingredients sifted; beat well.

3Drop by spoonfuls into hot fat. Cook until golden brown.

4Takes about 3 minutes to fry with frying temperature at 380°.

5Makes about 16 fritters.

6(Serve hot with maple syrup.)
