- 1 c. corn meal
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. water
Directions

1Stir together until smooth the cornmeal, salt and 1 cup cold water.

2In a heavy saucepan bring to boil 4 cups of water.

3Add the soaked corn meal, stirring constantly.

4Cook and stir 2 minutes. Cover and reduce heat to low and cook about 20 to 30 minutes. Hominy grits can be used instead of cornmeal.
