- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 4 c. corn puff cereal
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Heat oven to 325°.

2Mix sugars, peanut butter, margarine, shortening, egg, baking soda and baking powder.

3Stir in cereal and chocolate chips.

4Shape dough by rounded tablespoonfuls into balls.

5Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until golden, 10 to 12 minutes.

6Cool 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheet.

7Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
