Ingredients

  • 2 (10-inch) deep dish pie shells (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. grated Jack or Swiss cheese
  • 2 c. chopped ham or bacon
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (8.5 oz.) can creamed corn
  • 1 dash nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. milk

    Take 1 egg white and brush over pie shell.

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Saute onion in butter until golden.

    Sprinkle pie shell with cheese, then ham, then onion.

    Beat egg slightly and add remaining ingredients.

    Beat until well combined.

    Pour over cheese mixture.

    Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until golden.
