Ingredients

  • 18 large ears of corn (roasting ears)
  • 6 large bell peppers (if small, use 10), cut up or ground up
  • 6 large onions (if small, use about 10), cut up or ground up
  • 2 small cabbages, shredded
  • 1/2 gal. vinegar
  • 2 pt. sugar (white)
  • 3 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 1/2 to 1 box (small) dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. salt

Directions

    Cut the corn off the cob and scrape the cob.

    Mix all the ingredients except sugar and cook about 15 minutes in a pot, then add sugar and cook until tender.

    Put into sterilized jars and seal.
