- 1 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1/4 cup oil
Directions

1Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. In smaller bowl mix together milk, egg and oil.

2Add milk mixture to flour mixture.

3Stir only enough to mix.

4Fill greased baking pan half full.

5Bake at 425 degrees about 25 minutes or until lightly browned.

6Makes 6 servings.

7For muffins baking time is 15 to 20 minutes.
