  • 3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. sugar or 1/4 c. honey
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. oil or applesauce

Directions

    Combine dry ingredients and add remaining liquid ingredients and blend well.

    Bake in a greased 8 x 8-inch cake pan.
