  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1 c. cornbread (6 c.)
  • 4 slices bread (2 1/2 c.)
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 tsp. dried sage
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 c. chicken broth
  • 2 eggs, beaten

    Lightly grease 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Melt butter in skillet. Saut celery and onions until tender. Tear up cornbread and bread into small pieces. In large mixing bowl, combine cornbread, bread, cooked celery and onions, sage and pepper. Stir broth and eggs into mixture. Blend well. Pour in baking dish and bake in a preheated 450° oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
