  • 1 corned beef, around 3 pounds (save seasoning packet)
  • 1 large head of cabbage, sliced into large chunks
  • 1 quart water
  • 1 cup garlic wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 -3 teaspoons dill seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

    In a large dutch oven or pot add water and seasonings. Next, add corned beef and cabbage. Cover and bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer 4 hours until tender. Enjoy.
