  • 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 c. bread flour
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. cornmeal
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

    In a pot, heat to 115° to 120° the milk, margarine, brown sugar and salt. Add to flour and

    yeast. Stir. Add egg. Beat for 3 1/2 minutes.

    Add the cornmeal. Beat until combined. Add remainder of flour. Mix well. Turn

    Knead until smooth and elastic. Grease bowl.
