- 1 small head cabbage
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. cream
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- paprika
Directions

1Cut cabbage on fine cutter.

2Put in frypan with butter and salt.

3Cook on low.

4Toss lightly with fork until salt begins to draw water from cabbage.

5Cover; stir occasionally to keep from sticking.

6Cook until cabbage is tender, about 20 minutes.

7Be careful not to let cabbage brown.

8(The secret of success is to steam the cabbage until tender, but keep it white.)

9Beat egg; add cream and vinegar.

10Stir lightly; pour over cabbage.

11Let come to a boil and serve at once with paprika sprinkled on top.
