  • 1 2/3 c. cornmeal
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar (add more sugar if you like a sweeter taste)
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. half and half
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 2 eggs, well beaten

Directions

    Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl; mix well.

    Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Add wet mix to dry mix and stir until moistened.

    Pour into a well-greased 9-inch square pan.

    Bake at 425° for 35 minutes or until tester comes clean.
