1Scrub ham with warm suds.

2Rinse well with cold water.

3Place in roaster.

4Fill to top with cold water.

5Soak overnight.

6Drain water in morning.

7Put in fresh cold water until pan is half full. Skin side should be on top.

8Heat oven to 325° to 350°.

9Start ham on top of stove.

10When water comes to a rolling boil, put in oven. When half of cooking time is over, dip out water around ham and add same amount of fresh boiling water.

11Thirty minutes before cooking time is up, take out of oven, remove skin.

12Sprinkle with brown sugar.

13Put back in oven and let brown last 30 minutes.

14(Cook 20 minutes for each pound.)
