- 3 lb. chicken
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 6 medium-size potatoes
- 6 small onions
- 6 large carrots
- 2 large green peppers
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 1/2 c. stewed tomatoes
- 3 c. water
Directions

1Mix 1/2 teaspoon salt with flour.

2Roll chicken in this. Brown chicken on both sides in skillet.

3Peel potatoes, onions and carrots, cut up.

4Cut green peppers.

5Mix remaining salt, sugar and pepper with tomatoes.

6Place about 1/3 of vegetables in bottom of pot.

7Place chicken on top and rest of vegetables.

8Pour tomatoes and water over all.

9Cover and bring to boil.

10Reduce heat and cook about 1 1/2 hours.
