Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 1 c. milk
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 tsp. chopped chives or onion
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. crabmeat
- 1/4 c. buttered breadcrumbs
Directions

1Melt butter in top part of double boiler; add flour, salt and pepper.

2Cook until bubbly.

3Slowly add milk; stir briskly.

4Cook over hot water until thick and smooth, stirring occasionally. Continue cooking for about 5 minutes.

5Add egg yolks, then onion, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.

6Stir in crabmeat.

7Pour mixture into 1-quart casserole dish.

8Cover with buttered breadcrumbs. Bake at 400° for 45 minutes.

9Serves 2.
