Cracker Crust Pie

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 20 soda crackers, rolled fine
  • 1 c. nuts

Directions

    Beat egg whites until foamy and add cream of tartar.

    Beat until stiff.

    Add sugar gradually and then add vanilla.

    Mix crackers and nuts together.

    Fold all together and pour into 9-inch pie pan.

    Bake at 325° for 30 to 40 minutes.

    Cool.

    Cover with 1 cup cream whipped to which 1 small can crushed pineapple had been added.

    Sprinkle generously with coconut.
