  • 6 qt. hot air-popped popcorn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 to 2 c. raw peanuts (optional)

Directions

    Cook sugar, butter and syrup in saucepan for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda. Whip until foamy.

    Mix well with popcorn.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.

    Add peanuts, if desired.
