Ingredients

  • 8 qt. popped popcorn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white syrup
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar

Directions

    Cook over high heat to hard crack stage (290° or 300° on candy thermometer).

    Remove from heat and add 1 (1 gram) bottle of oil flavoring and desired food coloring.

    Stir only enough to mix well.

    Too much stirring will cause candy to turn to sugar.
