Ingredients

  • 8 to 9 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Boil sugar, butter, syrup, salt and vanilla for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; add soda and pour over popped corn in a large roasting pan, coating well.

    Cook in oven at 250° for 1 hour. Stir every 20 minutes.

    Store in airtight containers.

    Add peanuts to popcorn if desired.
