- 2 c. chopped cranberries
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 c. butter (1 1/2 sticks)
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Put the chopped cranberries, walnuts and 1/2 cup of sugar in a buttered 10-inch pie plate or spring-form pan.

3Mix the eggs, melted and cooled butter, 1 cup of sugar, flour, salt and almond extract.

4Stir the batter until it is smooth and pour it over cranberry walnut mixture.

5Bake the cake in the middle of the oven for 40 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
