Cranberry Conserve

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cranberries, washed and drained
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. orange juice
  • 1 (16 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 c. walnuts, cut in chunks

Directions

    Mix sugar and juice well.

    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

    Boil 10 minutes.

    Add mandarin oranges, cranberries and walnuts.

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat and boil gently 10 minutes.

    Cool completely to room temperature.

    Put in jars and store in refrigerator, covered.

    (Do not put in freezer.)

    Keeps well for several weeks.
