  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. or 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. water

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Combine all dry ingredients in the pan, the cake is to be baked in the same pan as it was mixed in.

    Stir with a fork until well mixed.

    Make three depressions in the dry ingredients, one hole for oil, one for vinegar, one for vanilla, then pour 1 cup water over all the ingredients and stir with fork until well blended.

    Bake 30 minutes.

    Use 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
