  • 7/8 cup cream cheese
  • 1 5/8 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 1/4 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese grated
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • chives chopped

Directions

    Combine the cream cheese in a bowl with the egg yolk, butter, parmesan cheese, a pinch of ground pepper, salt, and a tablespoon of chopped chives.

    Add the flour to the mixture in the bowl and knead until the dough is of the same consistency as shortbread dough.

    Shape the dough into a ball, cover it in plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 1 hour.

    Preheat the oven to 180C.

    Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/2 centimeter and use a cookie cutter to cut out the crackers.

    Place them on a wax paper-lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.

    Remove from the oven and let cool.
