- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/4 c. soft butter or margarine
- 2 lb. powdered sugar
- few drops food coloring (red, yellow, green or as desired)
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint, wintergreen or lemon extract
Directions

1Combine cream cheese

2and butter in heavy bottomed saucepan. Stir over low heat until soft, butter melted and thoroughly blended.

3Add powdered sugar and stir until well combined.

4Add your choice of food coloring and flavoring.

5You may divide whole batch to make 2 to 3 choices.

6Add extract to taste.

7Roll into 1-inch balls.

8Place on sheet of waxed paper.

9Press with fork or stamp with decorative cookie stamp.

10Let stand uncovered about 4 hours or overnight until mints are firm and outside is dry, but inside is moist and creamy.
