- 16 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. snipped chives (fresh, if possible)
- 4 doz. wonton wrappers (usually found in the produce section of the grocery store)
- 4 c. peanut oil
Directions

1In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and chives, mixing until well smooth.

2Place a small spoonful of the mixture in the center of each wrapper (follow folding instructions on the wonton package).

3Preheat peanut oil to 375° in a deep pan. Deep-fry wontons until golden brown.

4Drain on paper towels. Serve hot.

5Makes 48 wontons.
