- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 1 c. flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. chilled whipping cream
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- powdered sugar
Directions

1Heat oven to 400°.

2Heat water and margarine to rolling boil in 2 1/2-quart saucepan.

3Stir in flour.

4Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball, about 1 minute.

5Remove from heat. Beat in eggs, all at once.

6Continue beating until smooth.

7Drop dough by scant 1/4 cupfuls about 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

8Bake until puffed and golden 35 to 40 minutes.

9Cool away from draft.

10Cut off tops; pull out any filaments of soft dough.

11Beat whipping cream with sugar and vanilla in chilled mixing bowl until stiff; fill puffs.

12Replace tops.

13Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

14Refrigerate until serving time.

15Makes 12 cream puffs.
