Ingredients

  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 c. flour

Directions

    Place water, butter and salt in medium saucepan.

    Bring to a boil.

    Remove from heat.
  4. 4
    Stir in flour.

    Beat until mixture leaves sides of pan.

    Cool 1 minute.

    Add eggs, one at a time until mixture is smooth and glossy.

    Use pastry bag or cookie shooter and make 1 to 1 1/2-inch mounds, 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

    Bake 15 minutes at 450°.

    Reduce heat to 350° and continue to bake for 30 minutes or until puffs are golden brown with dry rigid sides.

    Make slit in the side of each puff with a small knife.

    Cool. Fill with pudding, whipped cream or whatever you desire.
